Create superb designs for the UK’s largest brands

At 100 Shapes we care about using design to make people’s working-lives better. We help companies transform their businesses by designing digital products and services that improve the experiences of their employees. Founded in 2011, we have been helping BBC, Burberry, ITV, Facebook, MTV and many more of the UK’s largest brands transform the way they work.

100 Shapes is located in Old Street; on the doorstep of London’s creative epicentre. We firmly believe a positive environment contributes to better work, which is why we have invested in our space; made fit for all kinds of design practises. We are a close and supportive team with a strong emphasis on learning and developing. Our clients are big and our team is small, which is why you get complete autonomy over your work; it is how we work best. The projects are getting bigger and so must our team, which is where you come in! We are looking for a dedicated Visual Designer - Mid Level with immaculate UI skills to join our team and help us flourish. Interested?

What’s the role? 🤓

You will be helping to deliver a suite of new and existing digital products and systems. Working closely with a team of designers and developers you will help define user experiences by turning insights and wireframes into beautifully simple interfaces. We are looking for a designer who likes tackling knotty problems and can apply their own unique flair to the products they work on.

Responsibilities 🚀

  • Contribute to product ideation and conceptual development.
  • Create visual designs that communicate the functions of digital products.
  • Translate or extend brand identities to digital products and touchpoints.
  • Produce visual design specifications, assets and prototypes driven by insights from our researchers, discussions, sketches and wireframes.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including creative leads, designers, researchers, developers and delivery managers.
  • Discuss and explain your design decisions. Take design direction on board and feel at ease offering feedback to others.

You are ✍🏻

Someone who feels never more at home than when creating a beautiful UI from scratch. A detailed-orientated designer who gets a kick out of solving knotty, complicated design problems. You bring the following:

  • A very strong understanding of the visual design essentials (type, space, form etc)
  • 3 - 5 years of user interface design experience
  • Knowledge of web/mobile/device-specific user interface design principles and processes
  • Tooled-up with great skills in all the usual design applications (Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator, Invision or similar)

  • Bachelor’s degree in design or design-related discipline
  • Agency experience is a plus!
